    • The Minister of Finance, Dr. Donges, has firmly rejected any suggestion that the South African Mint should strike enough proof sets to meet the annual demand. Collectors’ value depended on the rarity of sets and if excessively large quantities were available, the sets would lose their appeal, he said.
